I still want a B5 S4.

I miss my B5 A4 and my C5 A6 2.7t. So why not have both of those cars in one package?

I don’t understand why you don’t just drop that Jetta while it still has some value. You could by 3 or 4 A4/6s and just keep rotating through whichever one runs that day.

Well, I’m only keeping it for the time being because I have several options for my next car.

Here are the aforementioned options

1. Trade Jetta for a newer (2014+) Tundra, get B5 S4 somewhere along the line. (This would cost the most and would take the longest to play out.)

2. Trade Jetta for B8 S4 and a cheaper truck

3. Keep Jetta, get B5 S4 (Cheapest and most viable option)

4. Trade Jetta for a 07+ Tundra and a 997 911. (Least likely given my current situation.)

I like #2 and #1

In any case, your auto dissatisfaction makes my heart ache. At least in my case I still have my pickup.

I like them as well, but they are the least likely options. Especially considering I have a 2016 car that’s under warranty for the next 30,000 miles or however-many years it covers.

And the Jetta isn’t really that bad. It’s served me well in the time that I’ve had it and nothing major has really gone wrong with it. The miles per gallon it gets (40 highway) and the warranty are two nice things that I’d like to keep. The only thing I’m still not used to is the refinement of the car. My entire life, I’ve owned well appointed luxury cars. I’m just still not used to going from an Audi A4, to an Audi A4 to an Audi A6, to a Jetta. It really made me realize what I look for in a car and what makes a car work with me or not. I really don’t mind the Jetta all that much, but it doesn’t fit in with my car-buying personality.

Since I’ve got it, I’m probably going to end up keeping it and getting something that does apply more to my interests as a performance and luxury oriented guy on the side. That being a B5 S4. Because I miss my fuckin Audis.

I too would like a B5 S4, but without the hassle. Closest things right now appear to be the RS3, Focus RS, and assuming the 300+ pound weight reduction is true, 2017 S4.
